Fit

Materials and craftsmanship

Vegan leather is a coated fabric rather than animal hide. It is animal-free, it wipes clean instead of needing conditioner, and it holds colour more evenly than hide does — but it will not develop the patina real leather does over decades. We would rather tell you that than let you find out. Deep colours are built up in layers on coated fabric, which is what gives burgundy its depth rather than a flat maroon. The crown is panelled and stitched rather than moulded, so it keeps its structure.
